If you have already purchased an Osprey Milano, Scholar or Madison Zebra G fountain pen, you can now buy replacement assemblies or just a nib unit.

The assemblies cost $28, while the replacement nib units are priced at $24. The additional parts that come with the assembly are the generic outer section and the osprey converter, that you don't get with just buying the nib unit.

If you are buying an assembly for the Madison series, it comes with a generic Clear outer section, and if you are buying for a Scholar or a Milano, it comes with a generic Black outer section.

Note that the Zebra G nib unit comes with custom ebonite feeds to keep up with ink demands of flex writing. These units do not accept International converters or cartridges and work best with the wide-mouthed osprey converters, designed specifically for use with ultra-flex nib units.

Osprey Scholar Pen

I've been using the Osprey Scholar fountain pen with a Zebra G Assembly for almost a month now, on a regular basis. I really like the pen. Well designed and made, and the ink flow is reliable. I'm thinking that it's not easy to merge a fountain pen to a Zebra G, but Osprey does a great job of it. And customer service is excellent.

The Flexpert doesn't disappoint. It frees me from having to be near the ink bottle for long periods of time. If I want to draw or sketch outdoors, I just grab my Osprey pen with the Flexpert nib unit. The Flexpert can be easily taken apart for cleaning, or for swapping out a new Zebra G nib. But the important thing is that the feed was designed to be mated with the Zebra G. I don't have to bend anything into place in order for it to work; it works right out of the box.

I suppose I'll continue using my dip pens, but there's really no need any longer. The Flexpert, mated with either the Milano or the Scholar, is just as comfortable and versitile in the hand as any pen holder I've used in the past.

The other important thing to know is that the owner of Osprey Pens takes Customer Service to a new level. I discovered that when we had a Zoom conference to resolve an issue. Her suggestion solved the problem pretty quickly, and I'm back in action.
