Seems pretty decent. The reservoir was looser than I was expecting so it sits a little crooked on the nib but it functioned fine once I got it writing. And it was easy to put into the holder I bought - even for someone who had never used this kind of pen before.

I'm liking these.

As an old-school illustrator/cartoonist, I favor dip pens for much of my ink work. I have often found many popular nibs to be a bit too scratchy for my liking. So, I am always in search of a nib that is smoother and that can keep up with my fast drawing style. I often use my fountain pens as dip pens, for their excellent, smooth nibs and their feeds which allow them to hold tons of ink per dip. But, I still love classic dip pens. These Osprey Delta nibs seem to be a great addition to my arsenal. They are smoother than most dip nibs I've used, but still have some feedback, which I do want. They have the perfect amount of flex and springiness so I am in full control of the line width. AND, the reservoir (hood) holds a good amount of ink per dip, so I can get enough line work down with the need for dipping at just the right intervals. When the first two arrived, they did not seem to have their hoods attached firmly, and I lost one through a floor gap, and the other fell into the ink bottle. For the few seconds I got to play with them, I knew they had real potential. I did solder the remaining one together, which has been holding...but I was still disappointed, since this seems an unreasonable fix. So, I contacted Osprey customer service and they immediately sent me replacements which are properly constructed. I still may add a touch of solder to be sure they stay together. They are very reasonably priced, so I think they are certainly worth checking out.

reservoir makes a world’s difference. Nib worked quite well too but I polished it to make it even smoother. gotta love it.
