This listing is for the Jowo-compatible Size 6 Ultra-flex polished Steel Nib unit with custom ebonite feed.
Available tip sizes: EEF, EF, F, Med and Broad.
This nib unit can be used with bottled ink using a converter such as the Osprey converter or K5 Schmidt converter, OR use with a pre-filled ink cartridge. This flexibility gives many folks the advantage of writing with an ultra-flex nib using either a cartridge or a converter.
Typically, most suppliers in the market place sell Ultra-flex nib units with a plastic feed. We are one of the handful of folks that give an ebonite feed with an ultra-flex nib. An ebonite feed works with a wider range of inks and is able to keep up with the ink demands of a flex nib, unlike a plastic feed.
Do not use India Inks, they can clog the ebonite feeds. Fountain Pen inks are recommended. Few examples of inks that work best with the Osprey Flex nibs: The Noodlers standard Black , Platinum carbon Black, D’Artremis document Black ink, Pilot Iroshizuku line of inks, Rohrer & Klingner SketchINK.
Size 6 Ultraflex nibs are also available in 2Tone:

This is a great nib unit and an amazing value.
This is not the most flexible flex nib I have but I like the thin EEF line that it begins with and I really like the controlled manner with which I can achieve flex lines. I want to really emphasize the degree of control that is possible with this.
This is a great drawing nib and I value control over maximum flex.
This nib finds a nice balance between smoothness and feedback for such a fine nib.
I used an Opus 88 Demonstrator with Noodler's Lexington Gray.
Smooth, springy, wet nib with a decently sized sweet spot. The ebonite feed ensures that even with drier inks and finer nibs the writing is legible. Working perfectly with Diamine autumn oak in my Opus 88 Minty. The flex isn't as pronounced as FPRs ultraflex, which makes it more suited for my needs as someone who likes writing lengthy amounts of text with a responsive nib. Customer service is very helpful as well.
