I like this nib a lot. It has a nice range for a non-flex nib.
I find I can pull a lot of variety of fine lines out of this as I vary my speed, pressure and angle of writing. You can see the great variety of marks possible by looking at the page that I have photographed. This nib is not a nail. You can coax line variation out of it, though not very much, but of course this is not presented as a flex nib. It has a suppleness and responsiveness that I like.
In its standard orientation it has a nice balance of smoothness and appropriate feedback. It writes effortlessly in my Opus 88 Koloro.
In reverse writing I can get a very fine line, but it is also very dry and scratchy.
I have been very happy with the nibs I have purchased from Osprey. They perform wonderfully while also being a great value.
I used this nib unit in an Opus 88 Koloro with Pilot Iroshizuku Take-sumi Ink (Bamboo Charcoal).
